I liked the concept, but I don't think it required turning Cinderella herself into a lazy brat. I'd have preferred if Cinderella remained her usual self, and made it to the ball with the help of her fairy godmother, while Gertie managed to get there under her own ingenuity. For me, that would have been a more compelling story.
