Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher/author through the LibraryThing.com Members Giveaway program. I was asked to post an honest review (though not necessarily a favourable one). The opinions expressed are strictly my own.
The synopsis seemed really interesting, however the book itself was dreadful. The style was sketchy, there were tons of exposition about the setting (Why, since this is the 4th book in a series?) and the characters were not captivating.
This book didn't work for me. There was something awkward and disconnected about the writing style that made it difficult for me to fall into the story.
While there are some good aspects to this trilogy, I had a tough time reading through it. For starters, the repetativeness got annoying. I'd read something I had just read two other times the page before. Then it's set from different points of views, but the time frame is all the same essentially. You're pretty much reading the same plot three times. It felt like being stuck on a loop and as though I wasn't really making progress because of the constant feeling of having just read everything earlier. Beb is hilarious and fully enjoyed any moments he was involved! I would laugh so hard about what he'd say or do. :-). Was hoping for a HEA, but not every series finishes that way.… (más)

Since I read the first book, and had the glossary in the back, I really didn't need this at the beginning of each chapter. Like I said, I skipped most of it. I will get the last of the series, just because I am interested to see what happens. I like the characters, I like the action, and I want more of that. Would I recommend the books? Probably not because of the long winded stuff at the front of the chapters. I don't want to recommend a book and then recommend you skip half of it to get to the good parts. I received a free copy of this book to review which in no way affected my review.… (más)
