This is the memoir of Alexander Cameron, apparently the second one, which seems to be inspired by James Herriot. It has its interests, the time of events (from about the late 1940s and forward), the place the events take place (a small village in England, and Scotland), anecdotes from his life about the animals, people, family and churches. It never did catch my interest though. It is rather dry and the humor doesn't come across very well, at least to me. Much of the dialog is written in dialect and I find hard to understand. The print is small, the pages crowded. I don't really know why this didn't appeal, but I had to quit reading it. Your mileage may vary.½
