A very pleasant and well written romance.
I wanted to like this more than I did. I think the flashback structure and the lack of time spent with the characters in the present day bothered me. But, they were cute together and it was very readable.
DNF at 21%, but it's probably fine? It just isn't interesting me enough to continue.
I paused to read other things, but returning, discovered that I'd lost interest in both characters and plot, as well as having some difficulty with suspending disbelief. There's a kind of unmoored quality that's kept me from investing in either character. I'm usually better at defining these failures; I can't quite put my finger on where it went wrong.

I spent a lot of this book wanting to smack both the main characters. Matt for not speaking up sooner and Joss for being so quick to think the worst. That being said, I liked the evolution of their relationship from friends to friends with benefits and all the drama that came along with it. I think I would have preferred a different format because I'm not a big fan of flashbacks but other than that, this was a cute story with relatable characters. I would definitely pick up another from this author in the future.… (más)
