There are some stellar lines and concepts here...but I'm afraid the poems aren't ones which I'll come back to. Many of them are so densely packed that deciphering meaning takes time. And, unfortunately, there's too little emotion for this particular reader to want to devote all of the extra time needed for a full engagement. In the end, I enjoyed many of the moments in the work, but they didn't leave the lasting impact that I'd hope for in a strong book of poems. This is one that I might recommend to regular readers of poetry who want something different from their usual fair...but then again, I'm not sure how long I'll remember it in order to be able to pass on the recommendation.
