Clear, understandable text, informative illustrations, and colorful photos combine to make this book easy and fun to absorb. But Byrd is covering green woodcarving, which is completely different than the carving style I am currently learning. So this is going on my shelf where it will sit for a few years until I can get around to learning this style.

looks very well done through entire process, very refined work, not rustic!
