An attempt to justify the existence of dreamers and artists by showing that what looks like procrastination and lollygagging from the outside is their creativity working overtime on the inside.

Sure.

Now get to work!

So gosh darn cute. Baby chick has a LOT to say. But no one has time to listen. While playing by itself Baby Chick finds an egg and helps it hatch. And she was lucky enough to make a new friend who likes to listen to her chatters. This was lots of fun and would be great to do at story time.

This is supposed to be based on the song, but It’s not the Santa Baby song I know. It’s given new words, that I guess work, but when trying to sing it, its hard. The illustrations feel as dated as they are, and while it’s a nice read, once the copy falls apart, the library will probably not try to replace it.

This book tells a story about a guinea pig who is trying to join the pig’s scout. However, all the other pigs make fun of him, because he does not fit in with the others. They keep teasing him, however he proves his worth and saves his partner from danger, while they were hiking. This is a great book to teach students about the importance of individuality and acceptance for others.½

It's tough for a pig who doesn't want to get dirty, apparently. Cute pictures, adequate text.

This book is a contemporary real fiction genre, with rhyming words and silly pictures about a baboona who loves to travel around the world! The art displayed is of drawings and watercolors.

A tale about a pig who unlike his family, likes to stay clean! Otis is lonely because of this until one day he meets a frog who dislikes mud and admires cleanliness just as much as Otis does! From that day on, the two play together everywhere! (except the mud!) It's okay to be different even if that means you are not the most popular or well-liked. Be yourself!

Being a pig, Otis is supposed to love mud. His family loves mud, his peers love mud, but for some reason, he can't stand it. Otis' negative feelings towards mud aileniates him from his family and classmates. He doesn't have any real friends until one day, he meets someone who also dislikes mud.½

This was a very cute book about a guinea pig named Willy and a group of pig scouts that were totally giggled that Willy thought he was an actual pig. When he ends up going on hike and falls in a hole with his partner, he ended up saving the day and getting both the pig and guinea pig out of the whole. He saved the day and he was the one everyone was looking at.

Otis is a pig who lives in a messy home with his family. Otis is not an ordinary pig becuase he does not like to get dirty like the rest of his pig family. He does not think he will ever like mud which often leaves him feeling lonely. Otis meets a little frog who doesn't like mud either. Otis and the little frog become friends, staying far away from the mud.

A story about a pig who doesnt fit in with his brothers becuase he does not like to play in the mud. He feels lonely untill one day he rescues a frog who doesnt like to get dirty either. They become good friends. This story shows that even if you feel like a square peg in a round whole that there are others like you.

This was a funny little book about a guinea pig named Willy who is convinced that he's every bit a pig as anyone in the pig scouts. The pigs all laugh at him and call him silly, you'll never be a real pig, they say. So when Willy is partnered up with the biggest bully of them all, Peyton pig, they're not exactly happy campers. That all changes when he and Peyton fall into a cave and Willy saves the day by digging them almost out and whistling for help, proving that sometimes being different is a good thing. I think that all children should know that, it's ok to want to have friends but you don't have to be the same as everyone else just to fit in to a group.½

What pig doesn't like mud? Otis, that's who. This pink piggy tries his best to keep clean, unlike his brothers and sisters who love playing in the sloppy mud. Otis feels like an outcast until one day he meets a frog who's lost his ball in a mud puddle and can't get it out because he too doesn't like the mud. Can you believe it? A frog and a pig who don't like mud! Together they devise a plan to work together to get the ball out of the mud puddle without getting a drop of the gooey sludge on them. Once the ball is rescued, the two friends enjoy each others company, and staying clean.

Willie the guinea pig wants to be in Pig Scouts, but the pigs laugh at him and tease him since he isn't a pig like the others. They all go on a trip and Willie ends up helping a pig since he can do things that the pig cannot do. This is a great book that explains the differences between pigs and guinea pigs and shows that they are two completely different animals.

Willy is a guinea pig.But he really wants to be a pig. Then he decides to join in Pig Scouts, so he can be everything a pig can be. Other pigs laugh at him and say that Willy "You're never a pig!". Willy and Peyton are team. They fell into a deep dark hole. Willy tried to dig, dig , and dig. Other pigs heard and helped Willy and Peton get out of the hole. On the way home, other pigs say Willy is really a pig enough.

So many kids have a blanket or toy that they are really attached to. This picture book beautifully illustrates where imagination and a beloved blanket can take a child.
