Damaris is a dishwasher at Confidante who watches Nino from the kitchen when he comes for lunch. She is not aware that he knows of her watching him. Nino is a member of the mob. When Damaris is hit on one day in the restaurant, Nino cannot handle her not being in his life and bed. He takes whatever steps he needs to for her to move into his home and marry him. Will she?

I enjoyed this story. I wish it were longer because it moved so fast. I would have liked to see their courtship more. I liked Damaris and her roommate Nicole (hope she gets her own story.) Nino has to learn patience. I liked how they both knew the other was the one.

Mariah is taking time off work to care for her grandmother. Her boss, Liam, is not happy about it especially since no one else wants to work for him as he is very precise in his work rules. Mariah is hoping the time away from him will crush her crush on him. When she comes back to work, she realizes going away did not change her crush. She does notice things now though that has her wondering if Liam feels the same way. Does he?

I liked Mariah and Liam. I liked that though he scared her at times she was able to stand up to him and teach him social skills. I also liked how Liam did little things for Mariah that were out of place for him to do. I enjoyed watching their verbal play on what was going on between them. I loved the ending when everything comes out. Naturally it took them longer to figure it out than everyone around them.

Marta looks for marks (rich men who she can control) to give her the money to make the life she wants to live by the time she is 30. Viktor watches her and decides he'll not be a mark be instead control her. She accepts his challenge. $1 million for 30 days then she is set for life, and he'll let her go. But will he? Will she go?

I liked this story. I liked Marta and Viktor. They are evenly matched. Both give as good as they get. I liked their friends and bodyguards. As Marta's friends watch her, they tell her what she's feeling. She doesn't agree until trouble comes. I liked Viktor's bodyguards. They tell him like it is. He needs to hear what they say and what his second-in-command says. When he finally admits that Marta is stronger than he thought then he can get what they both want.

As always, I look forward to more from this author. I'm hoping for an Ash and Roy story.… (más)

Candace avoids being around Tad because he hates her and let her know to stay away from him and his daughter who is enamored with Candace. His daughter always asks about Auntie Candy when his family get together. When Candace's friends find out about Tad's behavior, they threaten him as Candace and his sister-in-law are best friends. When Candace comes to dinner, he follows her into the kitchen and shows how much he does not hate her. What is Candace to do?

I enjoyed this story. I loved the dominance Tad has over Candace while she showed she could hold her own against him. I liked the two person points-of-view through the story as I knew what each was thinking about the other as well as their own behavior. I did not like Tad's secretary nor his not telling her he was not interested in her. I did like Abs and Cade, Candace's best friends. They call her on the carpet when necessary. I loved Talia, Tad's daughter. She was a doll.
