On the one hand, I want to give this book a higher rating because it is attempting to retell the story of Christ. But I find I can't. There are just too many inaccuracies to the Biblical story--and not just because it's being reimagined in a more modern setting. Instead of reading this, just read the Biblical accounts or find a children's story Bible that contains them. At least then, the happenings will be what happened.

It made me wonder, if liberties were taken with details, are liberties being taken with the message too?

I did like the attempt to change names to more modern ones--though some names are still in use today and probably did not need to be changed.… (más)
