Hard to Get is my first book by Ms. Brooks and I loved it. It was so hot and fun that I devoured every word.

Alyssa Brooks delivers a very sexy romantic romp in her new book, Hide and Seek! From start to finish, the heat is on as her lead characters play a passionate game that both will ultimately win at, although t certainly feels to each of them along the way that they are losing… Neither Maxim nor Elisa believe in love, trust, and commitment when the story begins, but before it is all over, they learn that each of them has the capacity for a love greater than they ever expected to experience in their lives.

At times, Elisa comes across as a bit hard and somewhat callous, until one remembers that she is still reeling from quite the sucker punch in her last relationship – one that has cost her almost everything. Knowing this, it is easier to understand why she treats Maxim as badly as she does, especially considering their past together.

Maxim is a dream come true, treating Elisa with consideration and patience every step of the way, even before he realizes he wants more from her than a temporary fling. Although his mind is convinced that he doesn’t want a relationship, his every action shows what his heart really wants, and that is definitely Elisa.

I enjoyed my first read from Alyssa Brooks, and will recommend this to everyone who enjoys very steamy contemporary romances!

Claire is a 29 years old virgin accountant. Her life seems perfect: a good job, a beautiful house and a perfect best friend, gentle and handsome, to go out and talk. But not sex. There is no sex in her life, and she still thinks there is time for it.

But Blake is not the first time that thinks to her and sex togheter, but he has kinky taste when it come to sex: he likes to bond his partner, and to spank her and... many other things. And he is not sure Claire can be the woman for him. So he makes a pact: three days as his slave and then he will decide if he will give a baby to her and also marry her. And Claire accept.

Claire and Blake are matched characters. No much trouble in their life, they don't have dark secret or fear to overcome. They face the life with boldness and reckless.

There a funny mix of kink and tradition in this romance. Claire is a virgin with secret fantasies. Blake wants to make sex in every way but doesn't want to give her a child without marriage. They make kinky sex but not too kinky... At the end it is a really "fresh" romance, that can be read also by someone who has more traditional taste.
