I have no idea why, but I really struggled to get into this one. I started enjoying it around the halfway mark. I liked that Cecilia was interested in architecture.

I was drawn to this delightful Christmas novella collection by the lovely, enticing cover and the fantastic authors participating. I’ve read stories by each of them before and enjoyed them. I was definitely not disappointed by these charming Christmas tales. The characters were well-drawn and engaging, and the variety was fun. If you’re looking for some delicious, heartwarming stories by talented writers, be sure to put this book on your list. I recommend it those who enjoy clean and wholesome historical romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy from Covenant Communications through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

I absolutely loved this sweet collection of Christmas novellas! Anthologies are fun because you get quick little bursts of HEAs and love, and exposure to many different authors, all wrapped up in one delightful little package. Every single novella in this collection was a five-star for me. I just loved every one, and would reread any of the above in a heartbeat.

* A Family Christmas by Sally Britton

I loved this grumpy/sunshine story, with a delightful, cheerful Jane, and a reticent, quiet Cyril. I loved how Jane helped Cyril find his place among his family, all of whom feel like strangers to him due to the choices of his parents. The way Jane pulled him out of his shell and helped him find his place and his voice was so sweet. And also Jane is just the best. I loved her fun, slightly quirky and mischievous, personality.

* Christmas Forevermore by Sarah M. Eden

A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite stories, and when I heard this was a loose retelling, I was so excited to read it! And boy, did Sarah deliver! I know it sounds a little strange, but I promise it works. There are no ghosts or strange nighttime visions, but rather suitors who end up representing, in their own ways, past, present, and future. You’ll also recognize other characters, like Tiny Tim and Marley. And I loved Minna. Her ability to take control of her own life and not give in to the matchmaking schemes of others was so good. I also really love friends to lovers, so I absolutely loved that aspect of this story.

Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold

This was actually my first introduction to Ashtyn Newbold, and I loved it! This will definitely not be the last book I read of hers. Something I loved about this one is there is a vast passage of time you don’t often see in novellas. I loved how much both Hannah and Samuel grew, and changed in this story. Even Hannah’s brother, William, went through a lot of growth, and I really liked that too (especially because he was pretty insufferable at the beginning of the story). It’s such a good story.

A Thrill of Hope by Karen Thornell

How many times can I say I loved a story before you stop believing me? Because I really want to say that I love this one too, and I really want you to believe me. I’ve actually read this one twice, and I loved it both times. First, I really adore sweet, matchmaking older ladies. They just make me smile, especially when they’re kind and think they’re being so sly, but they absolutely are not. Isabelle’s aunt hits all the right notes, and I love her song. I do wonder what she was always doing off by herself, but I loved how many different ways she found to throw Isabelle and Robert together. Both Isabelle and Robert have some difficult past experiences they begin to help the other work through. Though they began their snowed-in Christmas together very much in enemy camps, the icy tension slowly melts away until their hearts are warmed toward each other, and a single Christmas changes their lives.

I highly recommend this anthology collection. If you enjoy Regency and Christmas, you cannot go wrong with any of these wonderful stories.

**thanks to the publisher for the copy of this lovely book. These are my thoughts.
