Definitely wanted to read more

These types of books go to show you that anything in this world as possible. We're more fragile than we actually think. It also goes to show if you don't work together the odds of catastrophe are so much worse.

This was a bit different for me. It tells of a man who is turning into a zombie and knows how much time he has. I hated that guy! He was definitely a selfish a-hole. All the family Chris has left is his 8 year old daughter. He was a bad guy before he was infected and guess what...that doesn't change just because he has hours to live. I have never wanted a character to turn into a zombie more than him. I know by now you are asking why did you rate it high? His daughter and the fact that the author managed to keep me reading even though I hated Chris. That deserved three stars alone. Maisie, however, stole into my heart. She is who I rooted for and she was my main interest. Chris does have his moments where he changes slightly to help her but mostly, this child is on her own. I'm not sure about my recommendation to read. I think this book will be a book that is hard for a lot of people. Chris is that awful. But, if reality can be brought in, all the bad people in the world will not automatically disappear or change just because zombie have entered the picture. They will be around. Some of them will form packs and survive together like they do in Walking Dead. Others though, I think they will be like Chris. So if you can handle that then yes, try the book. But if that ticks you off then maybe pass on it.… (más)

This one was surprisingly fun! It's not a book I would have normally picked up, but I needed a title that started with Z for my #LitsyAtoZ challenge, and this one was a free Kindle download, so I figured, what the heck?

A bit of a spoof, the character has a wry humor and strong pinch of the absurd, but it works. I laughed aloud several times. I actually thoroughly enjoyed the story, and it's so short, I almost wanted more. Good thing this is the first in a series. I might even check out book 2. 4.5 stars.… (más)

For me, a good but forgettable zombie story that takes place long after the outbreak. One thing that attracted me to the story was the amnesia aspect, but it really wasn't touched on much.

Not sure if I will continue on in the series.
