Some good bag patterns.
The purses and handbags in this book were inspired by the fashion of the 1920's through the 1950's. If you are making period costume, this book is a wonderful resource of designs, photos, and instructions with pattern templates for making each one of the purses. Suggestions for types of material and colors make the directions period, but they could also be changed to use today's fabrics and colors to make modern purses as well. A great resource for the costumer. Some knowledge of sewing would be needed to be able to complete these designs.… (más)
Well presented, and easy to use
A delightful jewelry making project book for the beginner who is ready to move onto "new" ways of stringing inspired from the past. The introduction has a series of excellent how-to pictures and explanations of basic techniques. The authors have divided the projects into five decades from the 1910's to 1950's. Some highlights include the Egyptian style necklaces from the 1920's and the asymmetrical designs from the 1940's.
