i was sent this book from the early reviewers. the cover of the book clearly did not do any justice in describing what the two girls, Jasmine and Cienna, looked like. from the cover , you would think it was in the horror genre. well, it should be as sex trafficking is are very really and scary thing. most of us have teens in our lives that this could happen to, although the book is not based on a true story. the book picks up right from the beginning and does not let up. the girls emotions and fears and pain is on display from the start. both girls remain strong through their experience and even lends a hand to help others involved. Ms. Bonn Blank made you "hate" the trafficker and made you want to see justice done, even though Mike was not the norm and was "nice" for a few minutes. justice was done and things panned out but there is never a happy ending in these situations, the damage was already done. this book was an easy read.… (más)

I was sent this book from the publisher/publicity team. My ratings and reviews will be my own personal opinions and are in no way influenced by publishers or authors who may have sent me books to review.

The cover did not initially pull me in on this one, but the synopsis did! I am so glad I picked this one up as it completely took me by surprise. Once I started, I did not want to put it down.

This does deal with some heavy topics and does cover human trafficking. There are also triggers for abuse, mental health, drugs, and more. I think the author did a great job covering these issues, but they still may be too much for some readers.

This one my first read by the author but it will not be my last. I was engaged the whole story and wanted more. It has been a minute since I have picked up a physical book (not audio) and was able to finish within a day or two. I will be looking for more from this author.

This was a good book, showing trafficking that is real and scary and can happen to anyone.
I think my trouble with the book was that there were so many characters and situations that I didn't feel I got much depth with any characters.

This was a well written book on a hard to read about topic. Julie keeps you wanting to read more and you become hopeful for each of the girls to escape the situations they are in.
