This book follows Melissa who has always had a crush on Nick since she was a teenager, but of course she was too young for a guy like him. Years later Melissa is back home taking care of her sick mother and running their horse farm when Nick returns to realize the sweet girl he one knew is all grown up and he doesn't know how to handle his emotions. Things between these two seem to progress, but Nick still isn't sure if he should pursue her or let her go. The story follows them and shows us how the club comes together and is a family even if not blood. I liked the writing style because it was unique, it would switch between main characters so we could see both sides but it also would let us into some of the club members pov. This switch was fun to read because it still focused on the main characters but allowed us outsider views with a few personal add ins.… (más)

Vice is the 8th book in Joanna Blake's The Untouchables MC series. I've been waiting for this book for a while and now and I'm a bit disappointed now that I've read it. Vice is an MC/Mafia crossover and the introduction to Joanna Blake's new series the Aslanov Russian Mafia series. In that aspect, it entertained me. I enjoyed the Aslanov brothers and can't wait to see what kind of stories they will have.
This one is about Vice who is a veteran and now is a part of The Untouchables MC and works security for his President Cain. At the very beginning of the book, Vice is a manwhore who drinks, gets high, and is loose with women until he's given an assignment that he is to find Anastasia Aslanov, the mafia princess who is heir to the Aslanov Bratva. Anastasia grew up in a boarding school with nuns until she turned 18 and was brought home by her father. When she found out what her family really did and how she was expected to be a part of it she ran. I felt for Anastasia because she lived a very sheltered life and had no real-world skills or understanding of the male species, they scared her. The second Vice saw her picture he fell in love and was determined to find her before her father or her father's enemies and keep her to herself. Which he does and cuts a deal with her cousins to keep her out of the family business and with him.
I gave this book a 3-Star rating and a 3-Spicy rating. I could not connect with Vice at all. Who he was at the beginning of the book and his whole personality changing with the turn of a page into a lovesick fool just didn't do it for me. I liked Anastasia though. She was innocent and naive and luckily a quick learner.
*I received this book for free. I voluntarily gave an honest review.

Taken by the Devil is the 10th book in Joanna Blake's The Devil's Riders Series. This one is about Drake, one of the only single members left in the club. He's one of the crazy ones in the club, always starting trouble, drunk most of the time and a total man whore. Until he meets his Sunshine, Dana a nurse at the hospital he met when one of the Ol' ladies had their baby. Since he didn't know anything about her he kind of went into stalker mode to get a chance with her not knowing she was already having trouble of her own. But after he met her the rest of the MC knew she must be a real special lady since Drake changed everything about him. He was like a whole new person and it was weird for his brothers to get used to for awhile. The Ol' ladies of the club definitely took alot of spotlight in this book. Janet has always been my favorite out of the ladies and she shines in this book. I loved it! In this book we got chapters from most of the past couples in the other series books. It was nice to catch up on them and see what they were thinking about Drake's new relationship but I felt like it took up most of the book, more than Drake and Dana's story. Because of that I feel like their story was rushed and we missed out on parts that could have been there instead of being alot of start and then finish. This book also has alot of character cross overs from Characters in the Untouchables series. I was also upset that Preacher didn't get to do what he's good at but at least he was in the book. If you've read the rest of the series or the Untouchables series by Joanna Blake then you know what I'm talking about. This can be read as a standalone and you don't have to read the rest of the series but I recommend it because the characters and their stories and great.… (más)

2.5 Stars

Had a lot of potential but failed in many ways.
I have the entire series, so hoping it gets better.

The start was interesting but there are a few things that are not working for me.
The pace slowed way down almost everything happens in 24 hours. Though it feels like DAYS!
It is cheesy and way to sweet for an MC story. I mean there are moments that make you roll your eyes and think of Disney cheesy sweet.

There is repetition (my pet peeve)
The editing is Not Bad, which is a plus.

It comes off as a young girls 'Fantasy Biker Romance'.
Came way to close to being 'Young Adult'
