Probably no other poetry book of the 1910s has managed to age this well. You won't find any exterior reminiscences from Eminescu, nor the dated scenery of symbolists. Maybe we can't believe in metaphysics anymore, but the poems themselves have preserved their elements of surprise. No filler here either. Unlike Blaga's later books, which, fortunately, have their own subtleties and charms...
