Enticed by the Orc by Tabitha Black
Monsters with Benefits book #1. Paranormal erotica romance. Trigger warnings, previous mental abuse. BDSM mentions. Alternating POV.
Ariel has moved in with a friend after leaving a mentally abusive boyfriend. She’s recovering by working through therapy when an advertisement pops up on her computer. “Are you feeling lost? Lonely? Disenchanted?” Ariel follows the link, agrees to the terms, and speaks the token “spell” that’s she’s sent. She wakes up in the fae world with a bounty on her head and creatures she’s never seen before. She gets protection from Orakh, an Orc who agrees to take her to the king. Their travels together teach them their differences aren’t as vast as expected. I’m fact, they have a lot in common. Ariel moves from burden for Orakh, to curious attraction to lusty lover.

Monster porn is the simplest description. Learning to love self.
Of course, there are stumbles and heroes and second chances. Ultimately love regardless of race, color or species.

This book really isn't a standalone. Most of the characters and their storylines are carryovers from the first book, so if you aren't familiar with them, you may feel a little lost. You'll still be able to enjoy the story, and will have no problem following the Shanna and Cav's storyline, but you may garner more enjoyment if you have read the first one. Plus, the first one is just a good book, so you aren't going to miss anything by reading it.

The kink resort, Nox Oasis, is now going strong. Lots of people are there to get their kink on in a safe place where no one will judge them. There are people who have been in the lifestyle for a long time while there are others, like Shanna, who are there to explore and learn more about themselves and their desires.

It's a really good story, with a lot of working parts which mesh together really well. There's a nice level of hotness going on, which is always really nice, plus you get to see some strong relationships and the love that those people have for each other. Sir Simeon gets to come out and play too. I really enjoyed it and am very much looking forward to the next book.

This is a great start to a new series. Tabitha Black's come up with a playground that a lot of people would like to play on.

Sir Simeon is tired of judgemental people being judgemental about people who practice BDSM. He wants to make sure that people in the lifestyle have a safe place where they can come play, visit, relax, and just be. So, he bought an island in Australia and built a BDSM resort where people of all kinks can come and not be judged.

This book focuses on the opening days of the resort. It also primarily focuses on George and Fay, Hazel, and Dain. Sir Simeon is always there, like a puppet master, even if you don't see him, you know that he's there.

In those 4 people, you have people who are trying to get their marriage and their D/s relationship back online, someone who hasn't ever tried kink but is really turned on by it, and someone who had to come some place safe.

It's really interesting to see everything that happens in the back of the house in setting up the resort. But, that's not nearly as interesting as watching the byplay between all the characters. There are so many levels going on and that's without the kink aspect that is in here. The relationships are what makes up the cake and the kink is definitely the icing. You can't have one without the other but together, they are just perfect.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series plays out and how new characters will add to everything.

I really liked Tabitha Black's take on the Omegaverse. Even though there are some things that are familiar across all the Omegaverse books, each author puts their own spin on the genre.

Saskia tried to escape her destiny, but it got her anyway. She got picked up and hauled away in front of a bunch of Alphas, where Arius smelled her and decided that she was heaven. Or at least his fated mate.

I love the connection between Saskia and Arius. It develops quickly, but it's still very deep and very strong. I thought that Arius was a pretty good guy, who was occasionally blinded by certain things, but he still tried to do what was right and what was best. I think because of that, he was surprised when the rest of the world didn't react the way that he thought that it should.

Saskia is brave, strong, and sweet. I think that all of that ties together to make her an incredible human being who is going to do great things.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series goes. I'd love to see Evander's story soon.
