What a suspenseful thriller we weave when we decide to deceive the ones we supposedly love! Sure rings true in The Baby I Stole by McGarvey Black. This book kept me enthralled from the first page to the very last page with so many twists and turns, especially the ending. In the beginning, a woman decides to take a baby home while on a trip to a beach one day, since she is unable to conceive a child of her own. The aftermath begins an amazing, can't put down read and I will definitely be reading more of McGarvey Black's books!… (más)

"Twice On Christmas," tells a captivating story of a young girl named Rose, who becomes the target of a notorious serial killer, the Kringle Killer. The author does an amazing job of bringing Rose's trauma and horror to life, and you can really feel the impact it has on her life.

The plot is full of twists and turns that keep you engaged from start to finish, and the attention to detail is impressive. You really get to know the characters and feel like you're a part of the story.

Overall, it's a gripping novel that explores the psyche of a victim of a brutal crime, and it's definitely a book that will stick with you long after you've turned the final page. A must-read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for allowing me to read and review this book.

Quinn starts right off telling us she was murdered. The book flashes back between first and third narrative, her husband and children, and parents which I found to be beneficial. The story for myself flowed perfectly, and as for who done it, you will find out, you believe you know who murdered Quinn..but you will just have to wait until the end. Great debut for McGarvey Black, I was not disappointed! 💯

Frustrated, unpublished author Callie Swan makes a living as a telemarketer. One night on the phone, Callie meets a man who seems to be perfect for her, but right as the two are about to make a date, there is a blackout in NYC. With no way to get in contact, they both look for ways to find the other without success. Time passes and they go on with their lives, but they can't quite give up on the person who could have been "the one."

As a book similar to the movie, Sleepless in Seattle, Love on the Line works to tell the story of two people who believe in the power of love and balance in the universe. Other than the beginning and the end, most of the plot revolves around each character trying to move on from what they see as a missed opportunity but never quite being able to leave the idea of the perfect relationship behind. The entire novel seems to have a fantastical element that doesn't fit into the real world. Also, I've never been a fan of Sleepless in Seattle, so this book didn't work for me. Overall, Love on the Line would be great for fans of Sleepless in Seattle, but not for someone who wants a realistic contemporary romance.… (más)
