Jules J. Berman, Ph.D., M.D., has first-authored more than 100 journal articles, and has written a dozen books on STEM subjects. In 2013, his seminal book, Principles of Big Data: Preparing, Sharing, and Analyzing Complex Information, was published by Morgan Kaufmann.

I wouldn't ordinarily put a book like this here, but this was unusually highly recommended by the guy who does the blog "Daily Sign-Out", Mark Pool, and I think you can sit and read it [I did, anyway:]. His point, that tumors should be classified by their embryological tissue of origin is old hat, but he summarizes a lot of interesting things and his digressions are more interesting than his main points. My colleagues are usually discussing the Flyers or department politics, so I enjoyed it. I'm not sure I can get to 4 stars though.… (más)
