I couldn’t find it at first on here, so I left a review with the first book. To reiterate, protagonist bites off more than he can chew, thusly humiliating himself. A simple moral lesson for the kiddies from a brief (so far as I know) series from a mother with not as much understanding of sons as she thinks.

I remember it being alright, and dealing with the bully and all that. However, it was clear to me (less so with its sequel, not found on this website) that this is a mother who doesn’t really understand the mind of a young boy (not too surprising).

The 2nd book is “High Stress”. He tries to take on too many projects at once, from a martial arts exam to a science project (an orrery). He does all poorly, humilating himself in front of everyone.
