This is my "go to" book when working with people through the hard issues of life. Augsburger does an excellent job dealing with the role of forgiveness in life. For those holding on to reconciliation and fair compensation, he reminds us that in the most grievous offenses, there is little or no ability of the offender to "fix" or "compensate" the offended sufficiently. The World's legal systems try to "fix" and "compensate" injured parties and, in doing so, devalue them. God, through Jesus Christ, has provided a different solution, one that satisfies our longing for justice and compassion.… (más)
