A cute romance with twists and turns throughout. The story starts with us meeting Blakely and finding out that her and her sister have been through a traumatic event and her sister Sierra doesn’t have much to do with her sister any more until she wants her to go to spring break so she can go too. Blakely’s sister is heading down a bad path and Blakely worries about her but refuses to take the same path, so she spends spring break on the beach reading with fate steps in and she meets Keegan. These two have an instant attraction and spend a week together hanging out and when its over they go their separate ways. Fate once again steps in and leaves Blakely with a gift and she spends the next 4 years still pining away for the one that got away. Once her and her sister figure out what they are going to do her sister steps up in a major way and helps her out in major ways and even helps her set out to try and find Keegan even if it is hopeless. Fate has a way with the two of them as it once again brings them together but she knows Keegan is keeping things from her and no matter how hard they try to become more and a family he still doesn’t inform her what is really going on. I felt bad for Blakely because all she wanted was a family not only for herself but for her kid too and she gets it just to have almost ripped away time and time again. There are a few twists and turns that happen towards the end and we finally learn what Keegan was up to this whole time and they fate finally allows them their happily ever ending.… (más)

This book had me feeling all different emotions at once. It was like at first I was intrigued because the author sums up teenage angst, emotions, and traumas really well and it took me back in time to when I was a teenager. My heart broke along with the characters and I hated that they lost so much time and memories to one decision. At first the naivety of Harper kind of made me mad at first but then I took a step back and realized she was just a scared child and was not thinking things all the way through but as she got older it still took her time to get wiser and realize her decisions were not always what she thought they would be. Then years later Landon steps back in and saves the day. Landon was my ultimate favorite person, once he loved he loved with his all and loved hard. He loved Harper so much that he is willing to wait and once he gets his chance again he holds on to her with all he has. There are some characters that will anger you but it makes for great drama and tension. Overall a fantastic read and I loved it.… (más)

When you know you just know and that is exactly what happens the first time Isaac sees Camilla. He has had a tragic past that has groomed him into the man he is today and he recalls what he said about marrying his mother, that when you meet the one everything changes and you just know it. Isaac will stop at nothing to make Camilla his but he has his work cutout for him because she too has a tragic past and has been burned before. Their chemistry is instant as well as falling hard for each other and once they become committed there is no slowing them down. They have a lot of ups and downs as well as a lot of steam between them but can they make it together with secrets and others coming at them from all sides? Will Camilla be able to fully trust Isaac after it’s all said and done? This story was fast paced, super hot, suspenseful, and fun to read. The characters were intense and I loved how committed and protective Isaac was from the start. There were some twists and turns that I saw coming then others that truly surprised me. Overall a great read that has a little bit of everything from age gap to suspense and more.… (más)

BECAUSE I HATE AGE DIFFERENCE.

Okay, deep breath. For most people, this book would probably be totally fine. The girl (let's stop calling teenagers women, its creepy) is 18, technically above legal age, and the guys are all probably below 24? But also one of the guys is a washed-up pro hockey player turned coach for a college team. The whole thing REEKS of creepy teacher-student fantasies.

Again, for most people this won't be a problem. I have some very strong hang-ups about teenage girls being preyed upon by older men, especially when everybody pulls out the whole legal age of consent thing.… (más)
