A charming facsimile reprint of a 1952 (?) booklet, mainly for children, detailing the journey from London to Edinburgh (and onwards to Aberdeen) via the 10am departure from King's Cross, the famous "Flying Scotsman". I say the book is for children; but about the only sign of that is that it addresses the reader directly as "you". Otherwise, the standard of the written English is roughly what you would expect in a quality newspaper of the early 21st century, which is perhaps indicative of how few concessions were made to (or felt necessary for) children in those days.… (más)
