I've always enjoyed these books by Allen, but I think this one in particular stretched the stories a little too much to illustrate points. Nevertheless, it's a good primer...just not great.

An interesting book, but the general premise and thesis of it is simplistic and generally just something quite obvious. The attempt of the book is to help readers on how to solve problems (using a system called SOLVE), but each step of the process is pretty much something we naturally all do even without realizing it.

The Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, etc. segments were entertaining for what they were, but overall the book was an unneeded exercise in helping people to solve problems. Might be good for some people, but I generally felt it was a gigantic 'meh'.

3 Stars on GoodReads, 2.5 stars on LibraryThing.

The author rather unsuccessfully uses various characters from Winnie the Pooh to explore the six functions which managers must perform to do a good job in any field of endeavor: establishing objectives; organizing; communicating; developing people; motivating; and measurement and analysis. Repetitious. Not for a reader interested in Winnie the Pooh.

Het boek behandeld de kunst van het oplossen van problemen op een speelse manier. Door het verpakken van schijnbaar ingewikkelde procedures in een avontuur van de BEROEMDE beer en zijn vriendjes lijkt het leven opeens een stuk simpeler.
