Graphic Novel Book Club:

Sadly, while I was really excited to read the 1602 series/universe all as one, I was not very impressed by the actual use of the characters, plotlines, and especially side series. A lot of it felt like really big shoutouts being tenuously connected so that old fans would understand but the new reader wouldn't understand what was going on at all.

Astonishing. First issues of the first volume of this arc made me quit reading the Legion after 25 years. Glad I finally finished both volumes as they’re better than expected.

Still not the optimistic & hopeful future I want with my LSH (at least not until the end) but a good story with intriguing takes on the characters

Alas, making a favorite character & morphing him into villainy, while well done & understandable, saddened me a lot.

An excellent read. I enjoyed Gaiman's Marvel 1602, and I enjoyed this one as well. It does catch the feel of the time period, yet they also keep the essence of the characters. Once you start it, you just have to finish it. If you liked the first one, you will like this one. This one is a bit more action-packed, but still a very good read. This series is certainly becoming a favorite for me.

I like the set-up for this story - a man gets into a vehicle accident only to discover in the hospital that he isn't human, he's an electricant, a fancy robot. Obviously this sets him reeling and he tries to figure out his role in life, the meaning of existence, and if he can do anything about it. Like I said, nice set-up! But, for me, its gets really confusing, and when the ending comes, I had little, to no idea what was happening, or what had happened! I like Philip K. quite a bit, but this one just didn't do it for me.… (más)
