If you are looking for a "dummy's guide to birds of Puget Sound" this is an excellent choice. They tell you what food to put out to attract different birds. I put out suet today and downy woodpeckers showed up and the Steller Jays like the suet better than the little birds' food. So far we have 9 of the 25 most common birds.
