The Chemistry of the Blood by Dr. DeHaan is an unusual and moving collection of sermons tying the science behind blood and other aspects of the material world with Biblical revelation. Dr. DeHaan writes clearly about both technical topics and the Bible, so that a novice in either may understand him. He teaches and preaches Christianity so that all may understand it. I recommend this book, although some of the science is outdated since the book was written in 1943. Also some of the Biblical interpretations and applications may not be agreed to by everyone; but these are twigs, minor issues, compared to the trunk of the tree, Jesus Christ. ( )
