This board book covers the concept of brushing one’s teeth, going over the step by step process with silly comic relief at the end. Each page spread of text ends in “just like Dad,” giving the story repetition without a rhyme scheme. Aside from the verbatim refrain, the cohesion of this story relies on the natural progress of teeth brushing and lacks a natural rhythm for the youngest listeners. Digitally produced illustrations depict exactly what is happening in the story. These illustrations have textured visual interest and block-like shapes, but are not too pretty or cutesy. Pony’s protruding teeth work to make him both look somewhat goofy as well as center the story around oral care. The blue background and father-son interaction lend themselves to appeal to boy toddlers, although this story can be read to infants of any gender. Covering a routine concept, this board book is satisfactory and recommended to children under three. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
