Great visual book to show kids that can be done using their hands and what fun using tools can be.

This book is all about hands, and all of the things we use our hands for on a daily basis! It reminds of us how our hands were the first things we used to create. It also talks about the parts of the hands as well. I would teach this to a kindergarten classroom (5-6 years old). I found this book at Pierce College library in the ECE section.

Wonderful photos but I'm not sure I get the point of the book. Ok, yes, it works better to invent a fan instead of just waving your hand in front of your face - so what? ( )

Amazing portraits of children doing activities with their hands and then doing the same activity while using tools made for the task. Easy to read poetic text describe the activity shown on each page.
