Written and illustrated in the trenches, this updated edition offers anbsp;rare insight into the experience of Australian soldiers on the Gallipoli Peninsula during World War I. First created in 1916, this collection of illustrations, stories, cartoons, and poems highlights both the soldiers’ bravery and sense of humor during a time of extreme hardship. This updated edition includes material originally rejected for the first publication and a new foreword. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

This new edition, published under the auspices of the Australian War Memorial, contains an useful, informative and well illustrated introduction to the original text. The latter appears as a crisp, and clean facsimile. The photos, paintings and drawings are reproduced to a far better standard than in the original edition, and the text is clean and bright. The weight of paper used (thick and heavy) also echos the original edition.
This is not a cheap publication, around Aus$60 in 2010, but if you want an excellent copy of a military classic, look no further. ( )
