IVY TOWERS-TUCKER IS LOOKING FORWARD TO HER FIRST CHRISTMAS AS A MARRIED WOMAN. . . . But a few days before December 25, Ivy and her husband Amos are awakened by noises on their rooftop. Amos's joke that Santa Claus must have arrived early loses its humor when a body goes flying past their second-story window. A look outside reveals two legs covered in red velvet trousers and black boots sticking out of a snow bank! Ivy and Amos are even more surprised to find they belong to a dead man dressed as Santa Claus. The story circulates quickly through the small town of Winter Break that Ivy and Amos have killed Santa. There Goes Santa Claus (Ivy Towers Mystery #4) (Heartsong Presents Mysteries #33)
Nancy Mehl
Hoping there are more to come in this series, although reality says this was the last. I loved this series and will miss these characters. I was glued to this book. In my mind I was thinking of all the 'past events' in Winter Break. I found it to be an easy read, fast and enjoyable along with great dialog and fun story line. I am glad that Nancy Mehl is still creating new characters, towns and mysteries. ( )

To J.M., who taught me that "feelings buried alive never die." You've changed my life.

My thanks to:
Deputy Sheriff Robert P. (Pat) Taylor. Thank you for keeping Amos honest. Gail Martin for the use of her wonderful Christmas play. Mark F. Hansen, Ph.D., Extension Specialist Emeritus, Michigan State Universtiy. Thank you for your heart for farmers and for making me rethink my plot. Darrin W. Figgins, funeral director and embalmer for Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses, Kansas, Donn Teske, President, Kansas Farmers Union. Travis Calvert with Plastic-Mart.com, who educated me about transfer tanks. My wonderful readers Kim Woodhouse and Faye Spieker. You're the best! My super agent, Janet Benrey, and my wonderful editors, Susan Downs and Candice Speare. Norman and Danny. You guys hold my heart. And, of course, to the One who loves me most. Thank for being good---all the time.

It's not often a human being is given the chance to save a fallen angel. I pulled my late great-aunt's ceramic angel from one of the lower boughs of our Christmas tree. Then I straightened up, grabbed the side of the ladder, and tried once again to fasten the ornament to the top of the giant Scotch pine that reached almost to the ceiling in our living room. This time I was successful, and the rescued cherub safely stared down at the floor below her where she had almost plummeted to her demise.
