This book is great for any age. This book can help everyone struggling to learn a second language. This book is about a stubborn girl who doesn't want to learn English. She talks about the struggle and or the mental struggle that she has mentally.

I really enjoyed this book. I think it educates readers on how difficult an experience school can be for ELLs. ( )

This is a book about a young girl named Mei Mei and her journey of learning how to speak English. This is a good book that describes the frustrations of learning a new language and the feeling of wondering who you are. When the right teacher steps in with kindness and patience Mei Mei is able to be accepting of her new language. This book would be great for primary students. ( )

I liked this book a lot. Mei Mei didn't want to learn a new language at all she but she started to lean into when she realized how important it was to communicate with more people. Her teacher doesn't force her to speak English either she just takes her into town and let Mei Mei see how the language is a big part in everyday life.
