I like the books Mercedes Lackey writes, she is good at creating a believable world and people to populate it. While her writing is not the strongest I do find it engaging ang and enjoyable. I like a series I can live inside of and her books are ones that have characters I feel invested in and a world I believe could exist. ( ) The Valdemar anthologies have become pretty predictable - the roster doesn't vary much, and most of the authors are using the same characters - but they're pretty consistently solid, and Valdemar is comfort food by definition. The Tanya Huff entry was heartbreaking in a way that is totally supported by the logic of the universe. Not all of the others felt so perfectly suited (Sarah Hoyt's characters are only tangentially connected, and as delightful as Fiona Patton's city-cop adventures are, I have a lot of trouble reconciling them with the canon Skif stories,) but they were pretty much all a pleasant read nonetheless. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
