This book is a continuous poem about all of the seasons and everything that can be seen in them. I really enjoyed it because it is concise and to the point. The pictures are very detailed and some are cartoon and others are real life pictures. I think that the "big idea" of this book is to convey how each season is different from the rest but that they all flow together harmoniously. An example of this is when the poem asks about if the reader sees tracks on the snow from all of the animals and then goes to say how the snow will melt when Spring arrives. Having the continuous flow of the poem makes it very enjoyable, in my opinion. Another great aspect of this book is that it gives the most important details from each season. For Spring it highlights songbirds onto one page and for Winter it has snowflakes falling. This gives a great detail to the book to show readers exactly what they can look for to know which season it is. ( )
