i'm a fan of the actor James Purefoy (he portrayed Solomon Kane in the film)
I enjoyed reading this book, but about halfway through the book, it dragged on a bit and I was impatient to finish reading it, because I don't really care for the pious/devoutly religious Christian characters in the book.
I have nothing against anyone that is pious or devoutly religious but I find it boring to read about unless it is about a priest, nun or anyone pious fighting against evil/demons/witches exorcising demons etc..
If you like Conan the barbarian, history, Eras that involve witches, sorcerers, demons or similar characters to Solomon Kane then you will like this book. (
