Germs! Germs! Germs! is any easy book to introduce children to germs, where they live, how they can affect us and how they're all around us at all times. This book teaches children what germs like, what they latch onto, and how they multiply. It tells the children what 'enemies' germs have. For example, it teaches children to wash their hands because germs don't like warm, soapy water that can wash them away. Children like to play outside but risk getting cuts and scraps, which germs love open wounds. Once germs get in the wound it can make it infected. This book is great to teach kids about staying clean, but can also teach them about infections, sickness, hosts and many more useful knowledge. I recommend this book for grades K-5th. I think the pictures can help support struggling readers. You can use this book in your science class in many ways such as; teaching them how a microscope works and how you need it to see the tiniest of things etc. ( )

This book did such a good job of explaining how germs get in the body, make you sick, and even how to get rid of them by washing your hands with hot soapy water. The illustrations and personification of the germs themselves were very cute, but informational as it made all of them look "bad". It also explained how germs thrive (through the winter, colds, and sneezes), and where they thrive (the bathroom, when you scrape your elbow). ( )

This is one of the books that I mosted enjoyed. Easy reading for younger students ut has a great deal of information on germs. Right from the begining it tell you that they are every where from the ground to the air that we breathe, they are any chance they get. If we want to see them we will need a microscope. They have great example of wha germs are how they get to us. I love this book and all the information that it has. I have the Spanish version and it is well translated. ( )
