A little less strong than the first Global Frequency collection (I'd give this three-and-a-half if I could - some of these feel like retreads of ideas from the first volume, and the writing can be even more obnoxious), but still exciting and fun. The big standouts for me are the two untitled issues in the middle. ( ) Detonation Radio takes a slightly different approach. Firstly, Miranda Zero is kidnapped, and Aleph and others must organise an operation to get her back. Then, Global Frequency operations is penetrated, and Aleph herself must perform some fieldwork to get out of the situation, with some advice fromt he outside. http://graphicsf.blogspot.com/2006/12/global-frequency-detonation-radio.html
I’d call this the quintessential Warren Ellis series, blending his approaches to storytelling, dialogue, characters, technology, style, suspense, and the need for hard decisions and sacrifice.
Written by Warren Ellis; Art by Lee Bermejo, Simon Bisley, Tomm Coker, Gene Ha, Jason Pearson, Chris Sprouse and Karl Story; Cover by Brian Wood The concluding volume includes issues #7-12 of the highly acclaimed maxiseries that's soon to be a series on the WB! From the streets of Los Angeles to the sewers below New York City, Global Frequency is always watching. There are 1,001 people on the Frequency - from 16-year-old computer experts to retired police detectives - and each one brings their own unique abilities to the GF table. Each mission is coordinated at GF central by Aleph, who dispatches the appropriate agents at the behest of Miranda Zero, founder and overseer of the Frequency. Together, all these pieces form one concise unit whose goal is simple: to save the day when all hope is lost! No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
