In this book, it is fall and Dear Dragon and his boy have typical fall things to do. The boy goes to school, but Dragon has to wait outside. They walk home talking about the sky and the leaves. They even rake leaves and jump into them. Next mom and the boy go shopping and see the fruits and vegetables that we associate with fall (apples, pears and pumpkins) After carving a Jack-O-Lantern with dad, Dragon and his boy go to bed. All this is told in simple, repetitive, easy vocabulary. These Beginning-to-Read books capture the imaginations of beginning readers and help them on their way to independent reading. They could also be read aloud to young children who are not able to read yet. A great addition to a family library or a primary classroom.
