This story is quite bizarre and funny although a bit over the head of O. Interesting rhyming scheme, not the typical for a kids book which is a nice change. ( ) On George Washington's farm, the cows are spoiled, the pigs act as servants, and the sheep are scholars. Rhymes about these wacky animals are complemented by full spread art that richly captures the time period. Kids may enjoy separating the false from the real while learning how things looked different 200 years ago. Some of the humor, though, will take an older eye to spot, such as the "smart" sheep who are really getting things quite wrong. The ending has a direct tie to historical events, which may work as a teaching device, but prior knowledge or someone to explain must be at hand for the significance to be grasped. An odd blend of history and fantasy that has little to do with George Washington himself until the very end. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
