In Prophecy, Sylvia Browne turns her psychic wisdom to the puzzling, often contradictory predictions proposed by major historical and contemporary figures, ranging from biblical prophets and Nostradamus to George Washington and NASA scientists. Examining the most famous-and notorious-prophetic voices throughout the ages, Browne offers a clear and fascinating vision of the world as it will be from five years into the future to five hundred, with a startling and revealing look into the future of our nation and our world-and a beacon of hope in these uncertain times."I've personally witnessed Sylvia Browne bring closure to distraught families, help the police close cases, and open people's hearts to help them see the good within.… (más)

A very thought provoking point-of-view. If only we could know how best to use our time on Earth, how wonderful life could be for all of us. ( )

In this book, Ms. Browne spends the first half of the text exploring
prophecies throughout the ages with several very good write ups about people
who have been prophets. It was amazing to read the prophecy of George
Washington, for example, and Abraham Lincoln and H.G. Wells. Of course, she
writes about all the better known prophets, too, from Nostradamus to Edgar
Cayce, and includes lists of some of the prophecies each made that came
true.

But the second half of the book is what everyone will buy it for -- her own
prophecies for the next 50 to 100 years. Some of them seem far-fetched and
others strike me as being possible, but not within the time frame she gives
for them. Still others seem entirely possible and even probable, like
finding a vaccine for AIDS and curing cancer. In fact, I enjoyed her entire
chapter on medicine and health issues, a lot better than I enjoyed the one
on politics! LOL

And if you think I'm going to tell you what her prophecies are, well, I
guess you'll just have to read the book to find out. If you like Sylvia's
books, you'll like this one as well. If you don't, then give it a pass.
What do you care if the rest of us know what's going to happen?
I'll give this one a 4. ( )

I found this book very intriguing. Some of Sylvia Brown's predictions are very interesting and not nearly as scary or dismal as most. ( )
