Fun book full of free verse poems, mostly rhyming. Suitable for elementary students. ( )

This book is comprised of Free verse poems. Almost all of the poems have rhymes. Many have Slant rhymes because the words almost sound the same but do not really rhyme. The poems are funny and the author's drawings really capture their humor. ( )

I really enjoyed the poems in this book. I think they are extremely catchy. A lot of them talk about funny subjects such as bear paws and nose hair. I think this will help keep students involved in the poetry and help keep them entertained. I really enjoyed this. ( )

Adorable poems in this book. Some I giggled at and shared with friends. "Architots" for one; they are not architects just yet! So funny! They were all clever poems and real life, like the "T.P.L.T.T.F" full parking lots and forgetting where you parked cause it was such a large parking lot. It was relate-able. The "Tongue Tester" was fun to read and try to say it fast. It was hard the first time, but I got better with practice. Enjoyable poems for children. ( )

I liked reading the poems in Soup For Breakfast. There is a message about enjoying the simple things in life.

I enjoyed the poems for many reasons. My favorite is that the author takes very simple concepts and makes them insightful. The poems are about basic things like parking lots, tablecloths, and toast. Every simple idea is turned into a thought-provoking poem.

I enjoyed the mood of this story. I had a calm feeling while reading these interesting poems about simple topics. The rhyming scheme was consistent and enjoyable. A child would definitely enjoy this book. ( )
