This book was really confusing at first since this is the second book and I didn't read the first one. But once I got into it it began to make more sense. Jack and his sister got kidnapped because there dad was part of a drug cartel. I didn't know why they got kidnapped but then the book says it was because the dad kept a dairy of everything the head of the drug cartel did. So the head of the drug cartel didn't want the dad to give it to the police so he kept his kids so he could hold them against the dad so he would give the head the diary. I don't understand why the dad doesn't just give it to the drug cartel head but he doesn't. Instead he took a airplane to go get them. Little does he know jack and his sister, the kids, escaped. They were in a basement and had food and beds and tv and everything. So that was a little suspicious how nice it was I thought. Overall this book was kind of boring. The only chapters I liked reading was the ones with the kids in it. Other than that reading about the parents and Alonzo and the drug cartel people it was really boring. ( )

I loved this book! It's the second book, the first one is Zach's Run. Even though I did read both books, i like how this book starts off. If yiou haven't read the first book, Jack's Run will give you the basic facts you need to start reading this book. So it makes it easier for you so you don't have to read the first book.
This is one of the first book I've read that leaves me wanting to know what will happen next. Every time a chapter ends, you will want to know what happens next and continue reading. It's packed with drama! Which I love. There's action, susepense, and even romance. I'm sure whoever reads this book will love it! ( )

Summary:The book"Jacks Run" is the sequel to "Zack's Lie" this book is about a boy in the witness protection program and gets himself into a lot of problems. He falls in love with a girl named Catlin and he cant tell her the truth. after he got caught from the people that were trying to harm his family in Zack's lie he has to try and escape so they dont get killed and he wants to go back to his old town and talk to his girl. he faces a lot of inconveniences but read the book to find out what happens in the book Jacks Run.

Review: my review of this book is that it was really good. i thought the way the author had the conflict happen was very smart. i didn't really know what was going to happen so i had to think. it showed every main characters point of view and made them stand out. the way the story ended to me was really good because the way i wanted the story to end when i was brainstorming is how it ended up to be which i enjoyed. the good thing about this book is that it wasn't to long or to short it was the perfect length for me to read in the time i had to read it. if i had to go back and read this book agian i would!
