A single once-over with a spellchecker might have netted this book an extra half-star - as it is, I'm leaving it at three. This book makes for quite a nice light romantic fantasy, with Chandra living up to her nickname as the Firebrand and Gideon popping into her life as the tall, dark and handsome stranger, who's a good deal more of a cool head, but who also isn't quite the 'Champion of Justice' he appears to be in the Return to Ravnica cycle. Bluntly put, I'd label this as chick lit. Sure, it's got all the background of your usual MtG novel, with Goblins and Ouphes and talk about mana and what-nots, but at the end of the day, this is mostly a story about two people falling in love. If that's not your cuppa, best give this one a miss. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Chandra is my favorite planeswalker and I identify with several of her personality characteristics. I also identify with some of Gideon's characteristics and enjoyed reading about their interactions.
The basis of this story is about law and chaos, control and freedom. These are concepts that people throughout history of struggled with. I don't know the exact mix that these need to be, but it is clear to me that there does need to be a mix. Absolute control or absolute freedom is hell. ( )
