I just don't really enjoy stories where the female main character keeps rushing headlong into danger, despite having another person around who has clearly demonstrated that he is willing to help and to put his life on the line to help, what's more. No she rushes headlong into another dangerous situation and that's what the hero should have been worrying about, not about his previous love who died horribly in front of him, who sold him out. There are occasional glimpses of better here, I'd like a bit more from her point of view but I think the author seems to write better from a male point of view than a female. This one didn't really capture my imagination, just left me wanting more. The back copy about him marking her as his forever? She is the biter the person who will mark him as HERS forever. This series has left me feeling like I'm missing something in the story, and makes me just want more background and information, while readable I have no interest in hunting up more in this series, if there are more. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Synopsis
Saige Buchanan has always accepted that she is different and that once awakened her family bloodline will endow her with the ability to shift into a mythological creature. Now that the time is upon her, Saige will have to place her trust in an enigmatic stranger if she is to survive the evil forces who seek her destruction.
Review
A pale imitation of the first book.
There is very little character development and it is difficult to care about the main couple. Saige is annoying and her actions clearly make her TSTL. Quinn is overbearring and secretive. It is completely unclear what these two see in each other beyond the animal attraction.
The mythology underlying the story is not sufficiently development. The exact nature of the Merrick and Casus has yet to be explained in full and suddenly there is a new force in play (Collective Army) that is barely introduced.
Overall, a disappointing sequel to a promising debut. I may continue with the series but it is on the back burner for now. ( )
