Rock Climbing by Chris Oxdale is an interesting book that provides a lot of detailed information for any student interested in rock climbing. Although this book is interesting and detailed it is probably not the best choice for a new English speaking student because of how detailed it can be. The book is also not ideal for a student who does not have much experience reading science based text. The text is not sequenced like you would see in a regular book. Although this book is not ideal for very young students, it may be a good choice for older students who have experience reading science texts. As stated earlier the book provides a lot of detailed information the majority of which is supported by photos detailing what the words are speaking too. Unfortunately without understanding the majority of the words some of the pictures may not make so much sense. ( )
