An opulent large-format book showcasing the animals, mainly mammals and a few prominent birds, of North America, dealing with each major biome in each of six chapters. The book will be treasured for the iconic photographs in the wild, by nineteen photographers, including Jim Brandenburg (of National Geographic fame), Daniel Cox, and Frans Lanting (these are the names which seem familiar to me). It does not contain any information on the cameras lenses or techniques used, so it is a book of photographs, not a book on wildlife photography as such. ( )
