Wish I'd had this years ago. I like how it's mostly lists of specific goals with little checkboxes, so choose the ones that suit you as you go along. It also has enough anecdotes and tips to be useful to people who benefit from that kind of support.

I'm going to be 1/2 century seasoned in just a few days, though, and I think I'm pretty satisfied with where I'm at. However, I will say that there's always room for improvement, so I'll remember the tips under Procrastination: Focus on the starting line instead of the finish line. (break projects into bits so you can check off each stage) Allow for do-overs, and view larger projects as a series of beginnings."

"Allow for do-overs." That's my big thing. I want to do things right the first time, so I spend so much time planning & fretting that I don't actually get going.

I'd be willing to bet you'll find a tip or goal or personal story to suit you, here, too, if you want." ( )

Love the web site. I carry this book in my purse and look at it whenever I'm having a "What should I be doing with my life?" existential crisis. It gives me comfort to remind myself that other people are struggling to fulfill the same hopes and dreams as I am. Would make a great gift book. ( )
