The illustrations show examples of each bird and the different parts of their lives, like the nests they build and their adaptations. The central message of this book is that there are many different types of birds, which can be compared with the many different types of people. Children can learn that everyone is different and everyone goes through different situations but still all get along; birds are just like people. ( )
