I don't have much from the "adamantium-free" run so I picked this up as a blind buy. I originally thought the title referred to Logan but it actually refers to the antagonist of the collection. The art is decent, but it's one of the shorter stories so don't spend too much cash if you're completing your Wolverine collection. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Wolverine's past is full of nasty characters, but few as fiendish as the White Ghost, a murderous mercenary whom Logan thought he'd left for dead during his spy years! But this Ghost won't be laid to rest until he's run Wolverine through a gauntlet of Adamantium weapons, killing the mutant maverick with the very metal that's saved his life so many times! Unwilling to risk his friends, Wolverine stands alone in a story of intrigue, romance and devastation, culminating in a clash between two killers! Collects Wolverine #119-122. Logan left McLeish for dead after a boat exploded in Hong Kong harbour. However, Logan is now being chased by ghosts (plus all too real killers) and is manipulated into arriving in a deserted house outside New York where he comes face to face with McLeish in a final showdown.
Gone are the early narrative introductions in each chapter of "I am Wolverine, I'm the best at what I do". Logan is feeling old and tired and manipulated. His capacity for fast healing remains, but the adamantium has been stripped from his bones and not providing him with the protection he was once used too. His claws are still as lethal as ever, but they are now bone rather than metal. This was the main thing that annoyed me about this story - i didnt understand why or when wolverine has lost this protection, and it could have added to understanding of why Logan felt so down and even darker than normal.
