In this book an inchworm makes it's way through the garden measuring different plants. It runs into an issue and is too big to measure something by itself, and it meets a half inch worm that helps it out. The story continues and they meet more worms and continue to measure. Would be great for a read aloud in a classroom that is learning about fraction in math. ( ) This book is so cute. I loved the way it rhymes when it says, "Squirmy, wormy, hoopity-hoop! We measure everything, loopity loop." While I was reading, I kept thinking of all of the different fun and engaging activities I can do with my future students. I think it would be fun to have different vegetables from the story on students desk and they can each take turns measuring the items, and then comparing the data they to the book. I also liked the fact that the book mentions fractions, as not all objects will always round to the nearest whole number. This book would be perfect for 2nd or 3rd graders who are familiar with measurements but are just beginning to learn about fractions. It is a good example of fantasy because the worm can measur things in this book. Inchworm start measure things but the problem is that he is too long for the fraction. He then find the 1/2 inchworm, 1/3 inchworm and 1/4 inchworm. It seems that they can measure the world. It is a good book for teaching children how to measure things and differences between integer and fraction. The plot is kind of same which is little boring for me. good for early elementary sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
